Local Development: Launch of the second program of the initiative "Training packages for government administration cadres"
Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of the Environment, announced the launch of the second training program of the “Training Packages for Government Administration Cadres” initiative, which will be held during the period from November 9 to 11, 2025 at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of a number of leaders from the Ministry of Local Development and the Local Development Training Center in Saqqara, under the title “Governance Mechanisms and Best Practices in Preparing Financial and Administrative Regulations.” .
Dr. confirmed. Manal Awad said that the implementation of this program comes within the framework of the ministry’s plan to build government cadres capable of applying the principles of good governance, transparency, and financial and administrative discipline within local institutions, in line with the state’s trend towards administrative reform and digital institutional transformation, and achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 in building an efficient and effective administrative apparatus that provides distinguished services to citizens, noting that the ministry seeks, through these initiatives, to create a qualitative shift in the government performance system in the governorates.
Dr. Manal Awad explained that the program addresses a number of important topics, including the laws regulating the preparation and launch of internal and private regulations, the general frameworks for governance and administrative and financial oversight in government institutions, and the skills of drafting and preparing governed financial regulations, in addition to reviewing models of regulations for units of a special nature and private funds, with the aim of enhancing knowledge of practical applications in this matter. Field.
For his part, Dr. Essam El Gohary, Assistant Minister of Local Development for Training, Development and Digital Transformation and General Supervisor of the Local Development Center in Saqqara, confirmed that this initiative represents an integrated model for interactive training based on practical application and integration of knowledge and experience, noting that the Center continues to implement its training programs according to a modern training plan aimed at raising the efficiency of workers in the administrative apparatus and empowering them with governance and digitization tools to ensure sustainability. Dr. Essam El Gohary, Assistant Minister, explained that the initiative comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Local Development aimed at strengthening the capabilities of workers in the administrative apparatus in technical, functional and administrative skills, pointing out that the third program will be implemented on " Basics of Contracting Law No. 182 of 2018 during the period from 16 to 18 November of this year.
