They held up signs and passionately screamed while A-listers arrived, causing quite the commotion.

Intense rain has been coming down all evening, and fans are concerned it might ruin the coveted event.

Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their fears over how the storm will impact the 2025 Met Gala.

The couple were noticeably no-shows at Brooklyn’s dad David’s London birthday celebration on Saturday.

Now, a source has told The Sun, ‘They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David’s party on Saturday.

‘But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola.’

The 2025 Met Gala was hit with a number of shocking last-minute cancellations from longtime veterans of the event to one of this year’s honorary co-chairs.

The theme this year is ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’ – based on Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

It is meant to pay homage to black dandyism, a style with European roots which started post-Emancipation and came out in full force during the Harlem Renaissance.

While many fans thought it was due time that black style got the recognition it deserved, others immediately presented concerns about what could potentially come down the Met Gala red carpet.

Their main worry being the risk of cultural appropriation and offensive outfits.

Vogue editor and longtime host Anna donned a silky silver gown and a long, blue coat.

Colman opted for a more dramatic look, sporting a blue cape-like ensemble with an eye-popping white neckpiece.

As for Lewis, he looked chic in a white suit and matching hat.

The Met Gala is already under way, and it looks like the famously tight-lipped guest list may have been leaked – giving fans an early glimpse at some of the other stars set to grace the iconic red carpet.

La La arrived in a stunning black and white gown that contained an enormous shoulder piece.

As for Ego, she sported black pants and a matching jacket, as well as a croset and tutu.

The influencer wore a black dress that left very little to imagination.

The musician and actress completed her look with silver chains and an eye-popping neck piece, as well as a marroon coat that she draped on her shoulders and a matching bandana.

The jacket contained broad shoulder pieces and a huge flower embellishment that certainly ensured all eyes would be on her.
