
A high-flying Miami real estate agent has been found dead inside a Ritz-Carlton condo.
Darin Tansey tragically died last week, at the age of 50, inside his condo in Miami Beach.
He had spent the better part of 20 years living and working in Miami, climbing the ranks of the cut throat real estate business with kindness and ‘genuine care’ for his clients.
Police have not revealed his cause of death.
The 50-year-old had closed more than $3 billion worth of deals, most recently leading sales of Regency Development Group’s La Maré in Bay Harbor Islands.
He worked at Douglas Elliman and has been remembered by CEO of Elliman Florida, Jay Parker, and CEO of Elliman, Michael Liebowitz, for his excellent character.
‘He was a man of integrity, honor, professionalism, respect, commitment, discipline and tenacity,’ Parker said, describing Tansey as like a ‘brother’ to him.
In a moving tribute shared by the company on Instagram, Tansey was remembered as ‘so much more than just an exceptional agent.

A post shared to Tansey’s own Instagram account revealed his death was sudden and unexpected.

He was referred to as an ‘unrelenting leader and dear friend.
‘To know Darin was to know unwavering friendship, inspiring tenacity, and a generosity that launched so many careers and warmed so many hearts.
‘In an industry marked by its competitive nature, he was one of a kind; sincere, positive, and welcoming.’
Tansey had only celebrated his 50th birthday several months earlier, surrounded by his closest friends, family and colleagues.
‘He would want everyone to know how loved and grateful he felt in those moments.’
One of the comments paying tribute to Tansey appeared to be from his ex wife. She wrote: ‘I had the pleasure of sharing my life with Darin for many years.
‘While our marriage didn’t last, I’m so incredibly thankful for the genuine friendship we cultivated over the past 20 years. He never missed making a bday or Mother’s Day call or text.’
