Miley Cyrus is currently on a press tour for her new album Endless Summer Vacation, which means she’s in her yap era and we’re loving every minute of it.
From discussing rifts with her fam to spilling the tea on her life in the spotlight, the interviews have been littered with spicy gems.
The latest intel involves her Aussie ex Liam Hemsworth and a Disney role she once got fired from over something fairly innocuous, IMO.
Speaking to Monica Lewinsky on an episode of her Reclaiming podcast, Miley revealed that she was replaced from the lead voice role in Hotel Transylvania by fellow ex-Disney girlie Selena Gomez after getting her former Aussie lover a penis cake for his bday… ‘cos god forbid a gal should have a sense of whimsy and flair.
“I, as a joke, got my boyfriend a penis cake for his birthday and I got fired,” Miley revealed.
“I was 18 — so yes, I was fine to work in a kids movie, but I’m not a kid. I was the lead actress in Hotel Transylvania, and they fired me and replaced me because I had made an inappropriate, adult joke.”
She added: “What felt ridiculous to me about getting fired from a penis cake, was that they sell penis cakes like for all bachelorettes.
“Like in Nashville, Tennessee, you can get penis cakes, it’s not that big of a deal. I thought this is like a very simple, not vulgar joke, this is silly. And you can do this for all bachelorette parties, they make necklaces and cups and straws and all kinds of stuff.”
Hotel Transylvania was released in 2012 and spanned four films, several short films and a TV spinoff.
“To be fired for regular things that girls my age — they go to bachelorette parties, and they go to Magic Mike shows,” she said.
“But if I was at that time, you know, I wasn’t someone that was appropriate for kids, even though that was in my personal life.”
Don’t recall seeing that penis cake pic on social media? Welp, that’s because Miley says she didn’t even leak it herself – it went viral after her backpack and camera were stolen during a party.

During the interview, Miley also reflected on whether a similar situation would happen in the lord’s year of 2025.
“I don’t know if we put our Disney kids on the pedestal the way that we used to, our teen stars,” she said. “But I think that still movies can have consequences for their lead actor or actress doing things that don’t align with the audience that the movie is made for.”
How poignant to be talking about events that would go very differently in the current era to one Monica Lewinsky.
