Minister of Labor: We are keen to provide a stable climate that supports production and investment and achieves job security

Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, opened today, Monday, the event organized by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS). At the company’s headquarters, which was allocated to hold an expanded dialogue session to discuss the labor law and developments in its application within establishments… At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister stressed the state’s keenness to promote a decent work environment and achieve a balance between the rights of workers and business owners, noting that the new law aims to provide a stable climate that supports production and raises the efficiency of the training and social protection system for workers.
A number of participants spoke during the session, where Counselor Ihab Abdel-Aty, the legal advisor to the Minister of Labor, reviewed the most prominent legal aspects of the law and explained a number of Its regulatory materials, while Engineer Mahmoud Abdel Hamid, Executive Managing Director of EGAS, expressed his welcome to the Minister, stressing the importance of these sessions in spreading legislative awareness within the energy sector and enabling workers to understand their rights and duties. The effectiveness of the efforts of EGAS management in organizing this fruitful dialogue, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the Ministry and all economic sectors to spread awareness of the new law and provide full support to workers and business owners in a way that contributes to developing the work environment and improving the quality of services provided to them.
