Mom chases down and RAMS burglars after they tried to break into home where her children were playing

Stunning footage captured the moment a determined mother slammed her SUV into a gang of robbers targeting her home while her children were playing inside.
The episode unfolded Saturday in the affluent Sherman Oaks neighborhood in Los Angeles, after the family’s home was targeted by masked thieves.
The heroic mother, who did not want to be identified when she spoke with KTLA over fears for her safety, said she smashed into the robbers’ car unintentionally because she was driven by adrenaline.
The family said the horror began as their two young children were playing inside with their grandmother when two masked men wearing grey hoodies appeared at their back sliding door.
The grandmother immediately called her daughter screaming, leading her to hop in her G-Wagon Mercedes SUV and drive home as soon as she could.
The thieves never made it inside because they came face-to-face with the grandmother.
Surveillance cameras showed the moment the mother came flying into their street, before she collided with the side of the suspects’ Honda vehicle and destroyed its side doors.
In the footage, two men immediately fled the scene on foot as their car was hit, and seconds later, a third man climbed out of the passenger side because his driver’s door was crumpled by the impact.

The impact of the hit destroyed the side of the thieves’ Honda and caused them to leave behind evidence, including walkie-talkies, radios, a crowbar, wallets and an identification card
The thieves were able to escape before police arrived, however, the Los Angeles Police Department said it collected a trove of evidence from the chaotic scene.
Evidence collected from the attempted break-in included walkie-talkies, radios, a crowbar, wallets and an identification card, which were found inside the damaged Honda.
Before the thieves hopped over the family’s fence, they likely disabled the home’s surveillance cameras because the security system went dark at the time of the break-in.
Yet the family told KTLA they are hopeful the evidence will lead to the capture of the thieves, as they have been left too afraid to even leave the house following the ordeal.
‘I can’t go somewhere, because I know my mom is here and my kids are here,’ the mother said.
‘I can’t even go into a restaurant with my friends, because it is really scary.’
Her husband, who also did not want to be identified, said he would only feel safe once the perpetrators had been arrested.

The gang of thieves immediately fled the car and escaped before cops could get there, and the victims now say they are too afraid to leave their home
He said that if cops can ‘catch those guys, then [I feel] 100 percent it will not be their first time’ being caught for a break-in.
‘Imagine, if they can catch those guys, then they’re going to cut a lot of robberies that are going to happen,’ he added.
