Moorebank High School is plunged into lockdown as cops respond to ‘threat’

A high school in Sydney’s southwest was put under lockdown while police respond to a ‘threat’.

Officers were called to Moorebank High School, on Bangalow Avenue in Chipping Norton, about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

Students were slowly released from the premises, class-by-class, followed by teachers.

Parents were warned some children may arrive home late due to the delay.

The police operation has since concluded and no injuries were reported.

It remains unclear what ‘threats’ were made to the school.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

Anyone with relevant information has been urged to contact police.
