CreAsia Studio Serves Up Thai Version of “My Chef in Crime”
“My Chef in Crime,” the scripted culinary-forensics mystery format from Banijay Asia’s CreAsia Studio, is heading to Thailand’s streaming platform TrueVisions Now.
Developed and produced by CreAsia Studio and My Shot, the eight-part series is overseen by Thai producer-writer Pornmanus Rattanavich, scriptwriter Nitikarn Pinmuangngarm, Rapeepimol Chaiyasena and Punnapat Sutthiwong.
“My Chef in Crime” follows a forensic scientist-turned-chef who becomes the prime suspect in his rival chef’s mysterious death. Trying to clear his name, he uses his deep knowledge of food chemistry and forensic science while teaming up with a fearless investigative police officerwhose past intertwines with his own. Together they tackle intriguing cases through culinary experiments, all the while crafting mouthwatering dishes.
The show is set to premiere exclusively on TrueVisions Now in late 2026.
The first scripted format developed and produced by CreAsia, “My Chef in Crime” was unveiled earlier this year as a commission for Indonesian streamer Vision+.
“CreAsia Studio continues to drive the next wave of creative expansion across Southeast Asia,” said Banijay Asia CEO Deepak Dhar.“With non-scripted originals like ‘Race to Space’ and scripted formats like ‘My Chef in Crime’ now set in Thailand, we’re not only building local stories but also shaping a shared regional identity for premium Asian content. Every format we build is designed to spark collaboration and foster exchange across borders, and this marks another step in our journey to make Asia a key player in the global content landscape.”
Ongard Prapakamol, head of True Visions & Media Division, TrueVisions Group, added: “‘My Chef in Crime’ is an extraordinary concept that brings together two of Thailand’s biggest passions — food and drama — through an inventive crime narrative.”
LevelK Launches Nordic FAST Channel RomCom TV on Samsung Smart TV
LevelK
LevelK, the Danish international sales and aggregation company, has entered the rapidly growing free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) market with the launch of its first channel, RomCom TV.
The outlet, the first of four planned LevelK niche channels, is now available on Samsung Smart TV in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
“Romantic comedies have long been a staple of feel-good entertainment — offering warmth, laughter and a touch of escapism,” LevelK stated. “With RomCom TV, LevelK aims to bring uplifting and accessible content to a broad audience, whether it’s families, groups of friends or couples unwinding after a long day.”
The channel features a curated selection of romantic comedies streaming around the clock, with the line-up refreshed regularly, drawing from LevelK’s extensive international film catalogue.
“FAST channels are a great free way of discovering new content within any genre or niche 24 hours a day,” said Lars Frahm, LevelK’s head of aggregation. “It is a market in significant growth all over Europe, where we can reach demographics who would otherwise not spend on traditional TV packages or transactional streaming services.
“At LevelK we administer thousands of titles from rights holders all over the world. So, creating FAST channels out of these titles is a natural next step for us.”
“The launch of RomCom TV marks the first of four upcoming niche FAST channels from LevelK,” the company added. “As FAST continues to expand rapidly in Europe, LevelK aims to bring underserved content and genres to new audiences through strategic partnerships with major platforms.”
RTL Hungary Nabs Talpa Studios’ ‘Most Wanted‘
Talpa Studios
RTL Hungary has picked up the immersive reality escape competition “Most Wanted,” co-created by Talpa Studios and Signal.Stream.
The broadcaster has acquired the rights to produce a local adaptation of the hit show, marking the second international deal for the format.
Originally launched on RTL Nederland’s Dutch VoD platform Videoland, the format has proven its appeal: a third season has been confirmed in the Netherlands, and in Germany, the first season on ProSiebenSat.1’s streamer Joyn boasted a strong debut.
“Most Wanted” is the second Talpa Studios format picked up by RTL Hungary, following the successful launch of “The Floor.”
The format blends strategy, survival and suspense as it challenges celebrity contestants to stay off the radar while being hunted down in real time. It follows the group of celebrities as they escape from a high-security prison somewhere in the country, with three guards hot on their tails. The celebrity fugitives must stay out of sight for five days, without modern conveniences. Stripped of phones, money and resources, they have to find places to sleep, eat, and travel unnoticed – all while wearing bright orange prison jumpsuits.
“This proven streamer format also lends itself perfectly to linear TV as a high-impact marketing event,” noted Sebastian van Barneveld, Talpa Studios’ director of global distribution.
