Hello and welcome to tonight coverage of the round 15 NRL clash between the Dolphins and Roosters. Dom Brock here with you tonight.
Tonight’s game is a top-eight battle made all the more interesting by who isn’t playing. The Roosters are a little less star-studded than usual tonight, with seven players away on State of Origin duty: James Tedesco, Lindsay Collins, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Reece Robson, Robert Toia, Sam Walker and Victor Radley.
The Dolphins have also been excellent this year and have five players in the Queensland camp: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, Max Plath, Selwyn Cobbo and Tom Flegler.
But there are still plenty of stars on show tonight. Daly Cherry-Evans is joined by rising star Hugo Savala in the halves for the Roosters, with Cody Ramsey lining up at fullback and former Blues Connor Watson, Spencer Leniu and Angus Crichton in the pack.
For the Dolphins, Isaiya Katoa has been released from Blues camp after being named as injury cover for Mitchell Moses, and he’ll join the likes of Herbie Farnworth, Jamayne Isaako and the electric Trai Fuller in a backline that still boasts plenty of spark despite the absence of Tabuai-Fidow and Cobbo.
Kick-off is at 8pm.
