Outrage after judge shows mercy for Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s would-be assassin because he’s now a trans woman

People have been left outraged after a judge admitted to taking Brett Kavanaugh’s attempted assassin’s identity as a trans woman into account during the sentencing.
Sophie – formally Nicholas – Roske was sentenced to eight years in prison for attempting to murder the Supreme Court Justice.
The Department of Justice had hoped that Roske would face at least 30 year in prison, according to Fox News Digital.
Judge Deborah Boardman said that Roske’s actions were ‘reprehensible’ and that she considered several factors in the sentencing including that Roske ‘confessed to and cooperated with police’.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty in April to attempting to kill Kavanaugh in 2022.
Boardman said: ‘I believe Ms. Roske understands that what she did was terribly wrong. I find her remorse sincere.’
Roske’s attorneys clarified that while her legal name is still Nicholas, Roske uses female pronouns and goes by the name Sophie.
Boardman explained that she factored Roske’s identity into her sentencing as well.

Judge Deborah Boardman said she was considering multiple factors when it came to Roske’s sentencing
She cited Trump’s recent executive order which requires transgender inmates to be held in prisons that correspond with their sex at birth.
According to the Marshall Project, transgender women housed in men’s prison facilities are at much higher risk for sexual assault and being forced into sex work than other prisoners.
The decision has left many conservative Americans outraged, and they took to social media to express their anger at the sentencing.
One person wrote on X: ‘The man who attempted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh needs to get the death penalty.’
Another said: ‘This is how you know the left lives in an alternate reality. It was a MAN pretending to be a woman that tried to kill Brett Kavanaugh.’

Several people on social media suggested that Roske should have received the death penalty for Kavanaugh’s attempted assassination
A third added: ‘The Supreme Court is the highest order of law in the US. Therefore, the highest order of consequence “is” the death penalty. This will be justice for Brett Kavanaugh.’
The maximum sentence for attempting to murder a Supreme Court justice is life in prison.
A fourth assessed: ‘The judge gave 8 years to a guy for an assassin plot. He got a reduced sentence because he is transgender.
‘A woman would have received a harsher sentence. The patriarchy has come full circle.’
Appearing in court, Roske apologized to Kavanaugh for ‘contributing to the fear judges experience as a result of doing their jobs’.
She said: ‘I have been portrayed as a monster, and this tragic mistake I made will follow me for the rest of my life.’

Roske arrived at Kavanaugh’s home in 2022 with a pistol, knife, lock picking set, duct tape, hammer, crowbar and tactical gear
On June 8, 2022, Roske flew from California to Virginia and took a taxi to Kavanaugh’s Maryland home in the middle of the night.
She was armed with a pistol, knife, lock picking set, duct tape, hammer, crowbar and tactical gear, with intent to harm the Supreme Court Justice.
But shortly after arriving to Kavanaugh’s address, Roske called 911.
She reported being ‘deeply mentally ill and suicidal’ at the time and told police that she planned to kill Justice Kavanaugh to give her own life a sense purpose.
Roske was motivated by a leaked Supreme Court documents suggesting that Kavanaugh and other conservatives had plans to overturn the federal right to abortion.
Roe v. Wade was overturned later that month.
