Port Said Governor: This year’s National Day comes loaded with real achievements that the citizen can feel

The Governor of Port Said, Moheb Habashi, said that this year’s National Day comes loaded with real achievements that the citizen will feel on the street, and we are working according to an integrated vision that puts the citizen at the forefront of its priorities and we seek to transform the demands of the people of Port Said into realistic projects implemented on the ground, in a way that achieves a better quality of life and reflects the stature of the valiant city and its ancient national history.
The governor added – in a statement today – that the current development plan represents an actual translation. To directives from the political leadership to upgrade the infrastructure and improve the level of services, stressing the continuation of work and field follow-up to ensure adherence to timetables and quality of implementation.
He stressed that these projects come within a comprehensive vision aimed at achieving sustainable development, improving the cultural landscape, and strengthening the infrastructure in line with the development boom that Port Said is witnessing in various sectors, so that it will always remain an honorable model for Egyptian cities.
The statement stated Port Said Governorate is a new beginning towards a more developed future through the implementation of the largest comprehensive plan to develop infrastructure and raise the efficiency of residential areas, which comes in implementation of the promises made by Port Said Governor Moheb Habashi in conjunction with the celebration of the 69th National Day of the valiant city of Port Said, in order to achieve a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to citizens.
He continued that within the ambitious plan for Port Said Governorate, a number of development projects were proposed in neighborhoods with high population density, In response to the demands of the people of Port Said, it includes the development of the Sayyida Nafisa area in the Suburbia neighbourhood, the development of the guards area in the Suburbia neighbourhood, the development of the Khaled bin Al-Walid area in the Al-Zohour neighbourhood, the development of the Omar bin Al-Khattab area in the Al-Zohour neighbourhood, and the development of the second phase of the Ali bin Abi Talib area in the Al-Zohour neighbourhood.
He explained that the development work will include paving the internal roads between residential buildings and raising their efficiency, improving the public lighting system, raising the efficiency of sewage pipes, and painting and unifying them. The facades of residential buildings reflect the civilized appearance of the residential areas.
The plan also includes implementing a number of important traffic development projects, including developing and raising the efficiency of September 15th Street in the city of Port Fouad, paving and developing the internal streets in the Al-Nour area in the Dawahi district, and paving and developing Abdel Hamid Ismail Road in the South district.
