Princess Kate posts adorable throwback snap of Prince Louis playing with a pumpkin when he was aged just one to celebrate Halloween

The Princess of Wales has posted an adorable throwback snap of Prince Louis aged just one as she wished fans a happy Halloween.
Kate shared the image, which shows Louis playing with a pumpkin, on social media on Saturday morning.
Featuring the young prince, who is now eight, in a blue raincoat and little red boots, he is seen smiling as he bends down, completely transfixed by the large pumpkin in front of him.
The photograph, taken by the Princess of Wales, was shared with the caption: ‘Happy Halloween!’
Parents William and Catherine, both 44, are understood to embrace the festivities on October 31 – and the princess has previously been spotted out and about, taking Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis trick-or-treating.
Footage captured on a doorbell camera in 2022 shows her standing and holding the children’s bags as they waited at a door, dressed in sweet costumes.
But the family usually celebrates in private, as they continue to give their children as normal an upbringing as possible away from the public limelight.
It is thought this is the first time that the couple have publicly marked the holiday.

The charming picture of Louis, who has made several public appearances this year, has delighted royal fans.
He previously celebrated his eighth birthday with a trip to Cornwall with his parents and siblings.
And over the summer, he was photographed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The youngster was seen wearing a Welsh bucket hat and grinning as he watched cycling at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Louis appeared animated, biting his nails, gasping and pointing in the stands as he enjoyed the game sat in between his siblings.
Indeed, the young prince’s cheeky personality has proved to be a hit with the audiences across the globe.
His famous mischievous smile was back on display to the public as he reacted to events in the velodrome, which echoed his appearance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 when he stole the show with his antics.
Earlier this week, keen photographer Catherine, whose shot of Louis reflects the family’s love of nature, visited a mental health charity where she lauded the healing powers of the great outdoors.
She took a trip to Dose of Nature, a pioneering mental health organisation in Kew, south-west London, that seeks to help individuals improve their wellbeing through clinical psychology and a close connection with the natural world.
In a fond display of her commitment to understanding and supporting mental health, the princess toured the charity’s Richmond-based site, Pensford Field, to conclude their weekly ‘Art in Nature’ session.
During her visit, Kate spoke with Tom – a former participant of the programme who now volunteers as a Nature Guide at the charity – who shared the positive impact being outside has had on his self-confidence and resilience.
‘Our journey has been very very different, but it’s so wonderful to hear how your nature connection and how it’s been so healing for you, and I felt the same,’ Kate shared with Tom.
‘The fact that you’re able to provide that to so many other people in this community; that sense of purpose and meaning, and belonging, through that experience.
‘I think it is something that has got the longevity and the sustainability of feeling like, almost without knowing what’s to come, without having the control in your life of knowing what the future might hold.
‘The fact that you feel that you can cope with things, because you feel that interconnection, I think that makes it holistic in a very true essence.’
