Radio station 4BC calls Fatima Payman a shocking sexual slur after bizarre Gen Z ‘brainrot’ speech

Brisbane radio station 4BC has issued an apology after referring to Senator Fatima Payman as a ‘Gen Alpha slag’.

The independent Senator for WA delivered a bizarre speech filled with Gen-Z slang to the Senate on Tuesday in a debate about the government’s push for social media age verification.

The radio station called Senator Payman ‘Gen Alpha slag’ in an online headline attached to an audio clip from Bill McDonald’s morning show, telling listeners the Senator was wasting time using ‘alpha slang to run her own circus’.

Senator Payman demanded an apology from the radio station for using ‘a misogynistic slur, and a terribly offensive one.’

‘I expect 4BC to delete the webpage and to post a full apology in its place, and I will be writing to the station’s owners, the Nine group, to institute disciplinary action,’ she said.

A 4BC spokesman has now apologised and said a typo led to the headline appearing on the site (‘slag’ rather than ‘slang’).

‘This was an editorial mistake and the article was immediately removed as soon as we became aware of the misspelling,’ a spokesman said in a statement.

‘4BC has issued an on-air apology to Senator Payman and management has made a direct and sincere apology to the Senator and her team.

‘The apology has been graciously accepted.’

On Tuesday, the Labor defector used lingo to attack the Albanese administration.

‘The goofy ahh government is still capping, but is anyone surprised? When a rizzless, auraless, unc Prime Minister is running the show, a chopped government is what follows,’ Senator Payman said.

The 30-year-old accused the government of lying and accused Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in particular of having no charisma, being out of touch, and running a shambolic administration.

The speech continued in a similar vein, as she attempted to criticise the government’s approach to AI regulation.

‘Some newgens think that what I’m doing is clipfarming, but I’ll keep ragebaiting until they crash out,’ she added.

‘So, sigmas, keep hopeposting, keep mewing and keep doing it your best, twin. Those who know. Oh, and…Six Seven!’

This roughly translates to older generations think what she is doing is attention-seeking, but it’s really all about gaining traction and engaging with younger generations.

On X, she captioned the video: ‘We got Brainrot Speech 2 before GTA 6’, referencing the release date of the wildly popular video game Grand Theft Auto next year.

The caption was accompanied by a wilted rose emoji, which she also referenced in her speech after saying ‘ICL TS PMO SM’.

That translates as ‘I can’t lie, this s**t p***es me off so much’.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, her nonsensical address provoked fury online, with some suggesting her base salary of $239,270 is a waste of taxpayers’ money.
