Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones doubles down on criticism of former ally Trump: ‘We’re in free fall’

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones tore into his one-time political hero, President Trump, yesterday, claiming that the commander-in-chief was in “free fall.”

Jones told listeners that it was time to “cut bait” on the president ahead of the midterm elections.

During Trump’s second term, Jones has repeatedly criticized the president over his handling of the release of the Epstein files and the ongoing conflict in Iran.

On Tuesday’s episode of The Alex Jones Show, the host took aim at Trump’s health, comparing the president’s current state to his late grandfather’s decline due to dementia.

“Not the man he was that last year,” Jones said, referring to his grandfather. “And that…we need to be sad about Trump. This is not funny. This is not good.

“But he’s gone. And that’s it. And all the people rallied around him, you can see, Hegseth’s freaked out,” he continued. “You can see, the press secretary’s freaked out.

“They’re being loyal,” Jones claimed. “They think it’s a lesser of two evils. And I, okay, but I just…Trump needs intervention. He needs to take some time off.”

Jones also suggested that Trump’s brain is “not doing too hot” and claimed that the swelling seen around the president’s ankles is a sign of heart failure.

Trump has long argued that he is in good health, even going so far as to joke that his doctor believed he could live until he was 200 years old. He did caveat that claim by saying he would need to give up junk food first.

Jones doubled down on criticizing Trump’s performance as president. He pointed to a poll from the University of Massachusetts Amherst that found the president’s approval rating had plummeted to just 33 percent.

The InfoWars founder called on Republicans to say, “We are real America firsters, we liked Trump of the past, we’re sorry he’s obviously had an aneurysm or something or a stroke.”

During his rant, Jones described Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. could attack Iran’s water supplies as a “war crime.”

Back in 2015, when Trump was running for the first time, he appeared on Jones’ show and claimed that the host had an “amazing” reputation.

“I will not let you down,” Trump added.

During that same interview, Jones heaped praise on Trump and claimed that 90 percent of his listeners supported the soon-to-be president.

Jones is far from the only right-wing podcaster to turn on Trump.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience last week, the show’s host described negotiations with Iran as a “clusterf***.” He also claimed that some of Trump’s supporters were “f***ing dorks” and “uninteresting, unintelligent people.”

Andrew Schulz, a co-host on the Flagrant podcast, said earlier in March that those supporting a war with Iran had finally “found a guy stupid enough to do it” in President Trump. Schulz had supported Trump during the 2024 election and had even interviewed him during the campaign.
