Scandal after two off-duty female cops were asked to leave man alone in VIP area of popular Atlanta rodeo

Two off-duty Atlanta police officers were arrested after an incident involving a male patron of a bull-riding event turned ugly.

Courtney Pollock and Ayana Taylor were taken into custody on Friday at the Bulls, Bands, and Barrels event in Duluth, Georgia.

The two female officers, who were not on duty, allegedly got into an altercation with a male attendee in the VIP pit area.

Gwinnett County Police officers were called over to the area and asked the women to leave, but they refused, authorities told CBS News Atlanta

Taylor then ‘threw a punch at a male patron in front of officers,’ police told the outlet.

‘They continued to act belligerently in a loud and boisterous manner and were arrested.’

Pollock and Taylor were booked for disorderly conduct.

The Atlanta Police Department confirmed it was aware of the two off-duty officers’ arrests and has opened an internal investigation into the two women.

‘Both officers were relieved of duty and placed on administrative status,’ APD said in a statement.

‘The Atlanta Police Department holds all members of our organization to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and conduct, both on and off duty.’

It is unclear what caused the initial commotion.

The pit area is an add-on to the event’s ticket, which gave participants access to an exclusive entrance to the front of the stage and a private bar.

The event included a concert, as well as Western sports action, including professional bull riding, barrel racing, and freestyle bullfighting, the event website said.
