Simone Biles makes stunning Olympic admission with LA 2028 Games on the horizon: ‘On a time crunch’

Simone Biles hasn’t ruled out a return to the Olympic stage, admitting that she could still compete at the Los Angeles Games in 2028.
The 29-year-old, already the most decorated gymnast in history, was widely expected to retire after her dazzling performances in Paris in 2024 when she took her total to seven gold medals.
However, the Team USA hero could be set to add to her haul in two years’ time as she revealed she is still weighing up competing in Los Angeles.
‘I feel like we’re still at a 50-50,’ she told CNN at the Laureus World Sports Awards earlier this month.
‘We’re still on a time crunch here. Now it’s almost half of 2026, so we’re gonna have to make these decisions pretty quickly.’
Biles, a three-time Olympian, said that mental health would be the one of the greatest factors in her decision.

‘Mental health plays a big role in it because, physically, my coaches will get me in shape,’ Biles said
‘I can get myself in shape. We believe in that ability. We’re really thankful that I’m still healthy. But mental is a huge thing, and it’s a lot of dedication on that, because the road’s not easy. It’s long, but it’s still work,’ she added.
Biles dazzled on the red carpet when she wore a stunning sculptural minidress from Vietnamese brand Cong Tri at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid.
The Team USA hero has now gotten candid about the eye-watering amount it cost to get her glammed up for the glitzy event, confessing that she was left ‘spiraling.’
In a TikTok video shared on Monday night, Biles declared that she needed to have a ‘discussion’ as she divulged the staggering sum.
‘I just need to know if this is normal,’ the gymnast asked the camera. ‘I know going outside is expensive as f*** these days, but like is it this expensive, ok?’
She went on to reveal that her ‘grand total’ came to $23,000 between her stylist, hair and makeup artists.
‘I just want to know, is that f***ing normal?’ she continued. ‘If that’s the new norm, y’all can have it. Y’all will never see me at another event.’

‘I’m going to sit my ass right here where it’s free. I’ve been kind of spiraling since then.’

Biles wowed in an ethereal gown from Vietnamese designer, Cong Tri. She oozed glamour in a gold, taffeta, one-shoulder minidress embellished with feathered fringing and a striking train.
The Laureus World Sports Awards is an annual event that honors individuals and teams while also celebrating major sporting achievements.
The American gymnast is a four-time winner of the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year. She clinched her fourth award following her Olympics triumph at the 2024 Paris Games.
However, this year, Biles attended the event as an ambassador rather than a recipient.
She was tasked with the honor of presenting the Lifetime Award to Romanian gymnast and face of the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics Nadia Comaneci, who etched the first perfect 10.0 in Olympic gymnastics history.
