Small beach town is rocked by the horror death of a young child – as cops launch murder investigation

A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a child in central Queensland.
Multiple emergency service responders were called to a Moore Park Beach home on the coastal outskirts of Bundaberg at about 4.45pm on Monday afternoon.
A person was found unresponsive at the Regency Road home and couldn’t be revived.
Daily Mail Australia understands the victim was a child.
A crime scene has been set up and an investigation into the death has been launched.
‘There is no threat to the community,’ a police statement read.
‘No further information is available at time.’
A woman is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Two other children were also home at the time but unharmed. They are now in the care of others.
A man who lives at the property was not home but has been notified by police of the incident.
Screams of horror from a male were heard echoing throughout the normally quiet beachside suburb, as more than 30 neighbors watched on, some of them in tears.
A distressed man was seen on his hands and knees in despair.
Moore Park Beach is home to 2,890 residents, according to the 2021 Census.
The latest tragedy comes as police ramp up the search for local teen Pheobe Bishop, who vanished without a trace earlier this month.
Pheobe, 17, was last seen on May 15, leaving a rundown home 60km away in Gin Gin.
More to come.
