Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadiq, President of the University, congratulated the team of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, the first-place winner of the & quot; Saint-Joban & quot; French in Egypt at the national level, beating all the participating teams, which numbered 12 teams from five Egyptian universities, namely: Cairo, Helwan, the Arab Academy, the French University in Egypt, and the American University, to qualify the Faculty of Engineering team to compete at the International Final Edition 2025 – Nord is & Egrave; Re in France during the period from 16-18 June 2025.
He praised Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Al -Sadiq, the innovative project of the Faculty of Engineering team, and congratulated them on their victory in the first place, stressing that the achievement reflects the distinction and competence of Cairo University students, and demonstrates the university’s ability to prepare youth cadres that interact with global challenges in the fields of sustainable architecture and environmental design, pointing to the full support provided by the university administration for projects and student innovations that aim to find creative solutions in Various fields. Architecture is its basic idea in designing a new & nbsp building, developing another constructive & nbsp building, in addition to linking the void between them to form a green urban vacuum that achieves sustainability and the quality of life in the Mukhtar site in France, pointing to the qualification of 10 teams for examination by a neutral jury from known engineering offices and outside those universities to ensure transparency and impartiality.
It is worth noting that The winning team from the Department of Architecture included both the Maidan M. Ahmed Dergham, the student Sandy Youssef Bassem in the third year of the planning and environmental design course, the student Fatima Ehab Ragab, witnessed the fourth division, and the offers were made for 9 teams in the presence of Dr. Sherine Wahba, Dr. Fatima Ashour, and the regional general manager Philip Bellon, and the Helwan University team won the second place in the competition, while the Arab Academy team won the third place.
