The Block

August is a HUGE month for reality TV, with The Block (aka Australia’s favourite renovation show) returning for its 22nd season. The big twist this year is that the five teams will be living together in one house for the very first time. What could go wrong?

If you’re more into judging singing abilities than renovation skills, The Voice is also back on screens with a huge shakeup. The Traitors

After being put on pause in 2023 due to low ratings, the Australian version of the global smash hit reality show is returning with an all-star cast — and after seeing a preview of the first episode, I can confirm it’s incredible. Featuring 22 Aussie reality TV legends like The Bachelor’s Keira Maguire, Big Brother‘s Tully Smyth, MAFS’ Cam Merchant and The Real Housewives’ Krissy Marsh, expect plenty of chaos, deceit and betrayal.

Ted Lasso

Ted Lasso is back for its fourth season after a three-year hiatus, with Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. But don’t worry, the A.F.C. Richmond gang is back together, with Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift all returning.

After starring on Too Hot To Handle and Perfect Match, Aussie heartthrob Harry Jowsey has landed his own Netflix reality show, Let’s Marry Harry. The Shards

Based on the book by Bret Easton Ellis, The Shards follows a group of rich LA teens in the ‘80s as a serial killer terrorises the city. Sounds hot. It’s the latest series by Ryan Murphy, bringing him back to his horror-thriller roots, and stars nepo babies Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford’s daughter) and Homer Gere (Richard Gere’s son).

My Life With The Walter Boys (season 3)

The yee-haw version of The Summer I Turned Pretty is back, and it looks addictive. After a medical crisis causes the Walters and Jackie to find a new normal, it seems like the love triangle isn’t going to be resolved anytime soon. In fact, a new arrival may cause it to expand into a love square.

From the director of Easy A and Anyone But You, One Night Only follows two strangers who try to find love on the one night of the year when sex before marriage is legal. Basically, it’s the rom-com version of The Purge starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, aka Dua Lipa’s husband.

Stop! That! Train!

If you enjoy campy disaster parodies like Airplane! and The Naked Gun, then Stop! That! Train! is the film for you. The film follows two train stewardesses who try to stop a disaster from happening on a train and features an absolutely stacked cast of gay icons including RuPaul, Raven-Symoné, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lisa Rinna, Matt Rogers and plenty of Drag Race stars.

Tony

Based on the opening chapters of Anthony Bourdain’s memoir Kitchen Confidential, Tony is about the formative experiences of the celebrity chef during a single defining summer in the 1970s.
