The Egyptian community in Jordan confirms: Participation in the parliamentary elections is a national duty that is not waived by alienation

A number of members of the Egyptian community in the Kingdom of Jordan confirmed their keenness to actively participate in the 2025 House of Representatives elections, which began this morning, Friday, and will continue until tomorrow evening, Saturday, stressing that participation represents a national duty and responsibility towards the motherland, Egypt.

 

The headquarters of the Egyptian embassy in Amman witnessed an increasing turnout from citizens in the evening, as members of the community were keen to cast their votes in A facilitating organizational atmosphere reflects their awareness of the importance of political participation and their role in supporting the process of democracy and development in their country.

Hussein Al-Husseini, a member of the Egyptian community in Amman, said in statements to the Middle East News Agency correspondent in Amman, “We participate out of belonging and responsibility… Our presence abroad does not diminish our connection to Egypt, but rather increases our eagerness to be part of its future.”

He pointed out that the members of the community During the past few days, they organized electronic campaigns through Facebook groups. And “WhatsApp” To encourage Egyptians to participate, noting that the interaction was broad and that everyone felt proud to contribute to this national entitlement.

For his part, Adel Al-Roubi stressed that participation in the elections reflects the community’s awareness and connection to its motherland, saying, “Every vote has value, and Egypt deserves to have us participate in shaping its political future while we are abroad as if we were on its land.”

Haj Sobhi Jad Al-Rab, one of the community’s oldest members, said that Egyptians in Jordan are participating. Motivated by love and belonging, stressing that this participation is a national duty and a message of loyalty to the motherland, adding, “Egypt is always in the heart, and no matter how far we live from it, we will never forget it.”

A number of attendees indicated that participation is not limited to voting only, but extends to spreading awareness among members of the community and encouraging new generations to exercise their political rights.

Mohamed Mansour Al-Shazly pointed out that the Egyptian community in Jordan was highly organized. And awareness, adding that the discussions witnessed on social media platforms among members of the community reflected the spirit of belonging and interest in public affairs, especially among the youth group.

Arafa Fouad Al-Qurm explained that the efforts made by members of the community during the past days contributed to raising awareness of the importance of participating in the elections, stressing that this positive spirit reflects Egypt’s position in the hearts of its people abroad.

The Egyptian embassy in Amman called on citizens to exercise their constitutional right and participate positively in the elections, stressing This turnout reflects the deep attachment of Egyptians abroad to their motherland and their keenness to contribute to the process of its democratic construction.

The first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections will be held for Egyptians abroad in 14 governorates, including Giza, Alexandria, Fayoum, Minya, Assiut, Qena, and Luxor, on Friday and Saturday (November 7 and 8), while internal elections will be held on November 10 and 11, and the official results will be announced. On November 18th.
