The German Agency for International Cooperation organizes workshops to support the employment of Egyptian youth
GIZ organized "G. any. “Z” – Egypt: Several workshops for the executive plan aimed at developing “career preparation” materials. In order to enhance the employability of Egyptian youth, especially in the technical fields, by providing them with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to enter the labor market, as well as ensuring that it takes into account gender and people with disabilities.
This came within the framework of the “Entering the Labor Market” project – The second phase, which is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation “G. any. “Z” – Egypt, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour.
A statement by the German Agency for International Cooperation on the social networking site “Facebook” stated: Today, ten experimental sessions for career preparation materials were implemented during the period from May to October 2025 in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and Menoufia… indicating that these sessions targeted 172 job seekers, 50% of whom were women, as part of the review and evaluation process for career preparation materials.
He explained that the results drawn from these sessions will contribute to developing the materials further and integrating them into Training services provided by the Ministry of Labor, in support of the common goal of expanding access to decent jobs for Egyptian youth.
He pointed out that the “Entering the Labor Market” project It is one of the development initiatives implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ). In partnership with the Ministry of Labor, with the aim of improving employment opportunities for Egyptian youth, especially those with technical and non-academic qualifications, through developing the work environment, enhancing the efficiency of public institutions, and expanding partnerships with the private sector.
