The Minister of Housing chairs an expanded meeting to follow up on the position of legalizing the conditions of lands added to a number of cities
The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, said that the file of legalizing the conditions of lands added to a number of cities is one of the important files to which the state pays great attention. In order to protect citizens and entities residing in those lands, and to prevent them from falling into improper transactions, in addition to the importance of quickly completing the file of legalizing the conditions of the added lands, with the aim of reaching integrated and planned urban communities, and achieving the goals that were set in this important file, in addition to periodic follow-up of the status of the works being implemented. Lands added to a number of cities, to follow up on developments in the legalization file in those lands, in the presence of ministry officials, the New Urban Communities Authority, and heads of city agencies.
At the beginning of the meeting, the current position of a number of work axes in the legalization file was reviewed, in the cities of: New Obour, Shorouk, New Sphinx, 6th of October, New October, New Alamein, and New Port Said "Salam" West Port Said, and New Damietta, where these topics included: the position of studying requests submitted by citizens and entities located in the added lands, the financial position of the applications, plans for the lands, and utility projects.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny issued a package of assignments to unit officials and heads of city agencies, which included guidance for the proper exploitation and maximization of the lands overlooking the main roads and axes, and seeking the assistance of the largest experts to develop planning. for added lands, increasing the rates of studying applications and announcing the results, developing clear mechanisms and a specific plan for each city separately with regard to legalization, preparing a comprehensive study that includes specific timetables for utility works and their costs, assessing the position of lands for which no applications have been submitted, compressing timetables for completing the legalization file, circulating a unified model to display the current and future position of the legalization file, as well as monitoring the challenges that arise and developing solutions for them, and continuous coordination with the parties involved in the legalization file for those lands and urgency. Procedures.
The Minister of Housing also directed to work in a phased manner on the lands added to a number of cities, with regard to landscaping work, implementing urgent solutions for facilities, and studying the provision of various services after completing the detailed plans for each area, as well as good and appropriate design for utility works.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Housing called for more work and effort to be put into the file of regularizing the conditions, and linking this to the objectives. Legalization of land.
