The nepo-baby lawyer who could get Diddy off the hook… as her famous father’s clients are revealed

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has put his fate in the hands of a millennial attorney whose famous lawyer father has defended countless celebrities and just this week secured a reduced sentence for killer brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez.
Teny Geragos, 34, first took the legal world by a storm with her unorthodox methods of defending Diddy’s innocence on TikTok and primetime TV.
She published a series of short one-minute clips last September after the music mogul was arrested and charged with sex trafficking in New York City.
Geragos, who in interviews has acknowledged that ‘misinformation spreads’ online, used social media to try and discredit Diddy’s accusers and the ‘series of false claims’ she claimed they brought ‘in the hopes of trying to get a payday’.
The Loyola Law School graduate is making headlines once again now that Diddy’s trial has beguun.
After what her firm touts as nearly a decade of success defending people accused of sexual assault, sexual harassment and other types of sexual misconduct, representing Diddy in one of the most closely watched trials in recent history is surely a career highlight.
Geragos is a founding partner at Agnifilo Intrater LLP and works alongside veteran criminal defense attorney Marc Agnifilo, who has a history of representing high-profile clients.
The glamorous TikTok lawyer also appears close with her father Mark Geragos, whose professional success may have inspired her passion for criminal law and seemingly helped launch her own career.
Geragos and her college sweetheart Ashwinn Krishnaswamy even tied the knot at her parents’ home in Los Angeles in 2021 in a luxurious summer ceremony inspired by the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.

Geragos appears to have developed a passion for the justice system early on in her academic career.
She studied art history and media, culture, and communications at New York University and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She began to pursue her Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California that same year and graduated in 2016.
While studying for her law degree, Geragos served as a judicial extern for a Supreme Court Justice in Kings County, New York.
She was also an intern at the Brooklyn Defender Services and a judicial extern at a US district court in Los Angeles, before becoming a legal intern in 2015 for the Legal Aid Society in the Bronx.
Geragos was a law clerk at both the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and Geragos & Geragos, APC, the firm at which her father is the principal attorney.
Mark has represented countless celebrity clients over the years, including Chris Brown during his assault case involving Rihanna.
The famed attorney previously represented Diddy, as well as Winona Ryder, Kesha and Michael Jackson. He also represented Susan McDougal during the Clintons’ Whitewater scandal in the 1990s.

The couple (pictured together) met during their sophomore year at NYU while applying for visas to study abroad in the Czech Republic

They developed a strong friendship during college, which reportedly continued well past graduation, but did not start dating until eight years after having met. They allege that their friendship naturally evolved into romance, so they never had a ‘hard and fast first ‘date’,’ Krishnaswamy said after proposing in May 2020

They also hosted a ‘cooking show’ together on Instagram during the pandemic, which Krishnaswamy said ‘kept them and so many others entertained during quarantine’
After graduation, Geragos joined New York City based firm Brafman & Associates PC as a trial attorney, her LinkedIn profile states. She was licensed by both the New York and California state bars in 2017.
She worked for Brafman & Associates for nearly eight years, before joining Agnifilo Intrater LLP as a founding partner.
She has represented defendants in both federal and state trials in cases involving sex assault, securities fraud, wire fraud, public corruption, tax evasion, narcotics and more, according to her biography on the firm’s website. Geragos is also credited with leading several investigations.
Her expertise in cases involving sexual misconduct has seen her represent both victims and those accused of sex-related crimes.
While she was pursuing her legal career, Krishnaswamy popped the question. He proposed in May 2020, while the pair were ‘still very much in quarantine’, The Clear Cut reports.

Krishnaswamy asked for her hand in marriage during a ‘socially distant’ dinner that he had arranged at Mark Geragos’ office building.
The couple married at Geragos’ family home in Los Angeles the following summer, according to wedding e-commerce platform Over The Moon.
The registry website, which shared photographs of their stunning ceremony online, claimed Geragos ‘always wanted to get married at her parents’ home’.
Her mother reportedly ‘helped her plan everything’ and used the Jardin du Luxembour as inspiration for their ‘colorful vision’.
Geragos now resides in Manhattan in a luxury condominium complex in the NoMad neighborhood, according to records obtained by the Daily Mail.
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom 1,255 sf unit is currently listed on StreetEasy, a popular apartment rental website, for $13,000 per month.

Geragos delivered her opening statement in Diddy’s trial on Tuesday, describing the closely watched case as a misguided overreach by prosecutors.

Geragos (pictured) previously served as a law clerk at both the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and Geragos & Geragos, APC, the firm at which her father is the principal attorney
She said that although her client could be violent, the government was trying to turn sex between consenting adults into a prostitution and sex trafficking case. The judge said he expects the trial to take eight weeks.
‘Sean Combs is a complicated man. But this is not a complicated case. This case is about love, jealousy, infidelity and money,’ Geragos told the jury of eight men and four women.
‘There has been a tremendous amount of noise around this case over the past year. It is time to cancel that noise.’
Geragos conceded that Combs’ violent outbursts, often fueled by alcohol, jealousy and drugs, might have warranted domestic violence charges, but not sex trafficking and racketeering counts.
She told jurors they might think Combs is a ‘jerk’ and might not condone his ‘kinky sex,’ but ‘he´s not charged with being a jerk.’
She also conceded that Diddy is extremely jealous and ‘has a bad temper,’ telling the jury that he sometimes got angry and lashed out when he drank alcohol or ‘did the wrong drugs.’ But, she said, ‘Domestic violence is not sex trafficking.’

Geragos has represented defendants in both federal and state trials. She is pictured leaving federal court with her client former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng, center, and co-counsel Zach Intrater in March 2023 after Ng was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in looting a Malaysian development fund

Geragos on Wednesday told Judge Arun Subramanian the prosecution’s questioning of R&B singer Cassie Ventura had ‘gone differently than we expected.’
She did not elaborate except to say the defense will have to adjust their defense strategy as a result.
Cassie sued Diddy in 2023, and the lawsuit was settled within hours, but it touched off a law enforcement investigation and was followed by dozens of lawsuits making similar claims.
Geragos claimed Diddy’s accusers were motivated by money. She told jurors that Cassie demanded $30 million when she sued him, and another witness will acknowledge demanding $22 million in a breach of contract lawsuit.
