
AMC Networks has released the trailer for its newest series in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, “Talamasca: The Secret Order,” which premieres on Sunday, Oct. 26, on AMC and AMC+.
The first season will consist of six episodes, each airing weekly on Sundays. “Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order” focuses on “a secretive society called the Talamasca, comprised of the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe,” per its official logline.
Rounding out the cast are Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Celine Buckens. Jason Schwartzman will guest star and Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk are reprising their roles from Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire” as crossover characters in the new series.
Rice’s “Talamasca” is executive produced by John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty, who also serve as co-showrunners, Mark Johnson, who oversees Rice’s Immortal Universe and Tom Williams, along with Christopher Rice and the late Rice. Hancock also directs.

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the third season of “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy,” set to premiere globally on Sept. 19.
The eight-episode season follows host Eugene Levy as he sets out to discover what the ultimate travel bucket list is all about with a help from The Prince of Wales. This season will showcase Levy’s travels to Austria, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Mexico, South Korea and the United States, each stop bringing new opportunities to broaden his perspective on traveling.
Levy is joined by various special guests such as five-time Grammy Award-winner Michael Bublé; Levy’s daughter, “Schitt’s Creek” star Sarah Levy; K-pop boyband NOWZ, and former Indian Cricketer Rahul Dravid.
“The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy” is produced by Apple TV+ by Twofour. Levy, David Brindley, Nic Patten, Sara Brailsford, Iain Peckham and Lily Fitzpatrick serve as executive producers.

Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for Seasons 1 and 2 of the adult-animated comedy series “Helluva Boss,” which premieres on Sept. 10.
Previously released on YouTube, the trailer features moments from the first two seasons and teases new footage from the original episode.
The new prequel episode, titled “Mission: Zero,” follows the I.M.P. as they plan their very first assassination. “Helluva Boss” arriving on Prime Video marks the first time the series will be fully uncensored, subtitled and available in multiple languages.
“Helluva Boss” stars Brandon Rogers (“Class Acts”), Richard Horvitz (“Invader Zim”), Vivian Williams (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Erica Lindbeck (“ThunderCats Roar”) and Bryce Pinkham (“Mercy Street”).
The series also features Alex Brightman (“Hazbin Hotel”), James Monroe Iglehart (“Superkitties”), Cristina Vee (“Sailor Moon”), Georgie Leahy (“Normal British Series”), Rochelle Diamante and Morgana Ignis (“Class Acts”).
The original episode will be available exclusively on Prime Video for 45 days before being made available on YouTube.

Roku Originals has unveiled a first look image of its new series, “This First House, ” a forthcoming spinoff of “The Old House” coming in 2026.
According to its official synopsis, the spinoff follows “ two Millennial and/or Gen Z families as they navigate the process of buying their first home and learn essential skills for maintaining and improving their property. Guiding them through this journey will be the husband-and-wife team, Zack and Camille Dettmore, alongside their experts from real estate, mortgage, legal and construction sectors.”
In the meantime, new seasons of “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” will premiere on Roku starting Sept. 29.

Disney has released the official trailer for Season 2 of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”
According to the official synopsis, the second season follows Billie as he “grapples with the fact that being part of the Russo family might be more complicated than she thought — especially now that she’s not the only wizard in the house.”
The synopsis continues, “Thanks to Roman and Milo’s new magical powers, Justin is now tasked with training three young wizards for the Family Wizard Competition. As the stakes rise inside and outside the family, a mysterious new threat emerges, one that could unravel the Russos forever.”
The series stars David Henrie as Justin Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
Selena Gomez, who also executive produces the show, is set to appear in a guest role alongside Freya Skye, Harvey Guillén, Kirsten Vangsness, Bill Chott, Sean Whalen, Amanda Tepe, Recker Eans, Tobias Jelinek, Patrick Bristow and Eleanor Sweeney.
Season 2 premieres with two episodes on Friday, Sept. 12, on Disney Channel and Disney Channel On Demand.
All episodes will be available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Oxygen has announced that “The Death Investigator with Barbara Butcher,” a new true-crime series will debut on Sept. 27.
The series will follow Butcher, a world-renowned expert in medicolegal death investigation. Butcher was the second woman ever hired for the role of death investigator in Manhattan and the first to remain in the position for more than three months, where she worked over 680 homicides and mass disasters. The season will detail 10 different cases, including a Las Vegas journalist ambushed outside his residence, a body dumped in a NYC tunnel, and a mission to discover the identity of a victim found in the East River.
“The Death Investigator with Barbara Butcher” is produced by Wolf Entertainment, Alfred Street Industries and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group. Dick Wolf, Tom Thayer, Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Maria Lane and Shannon O’Rourke serve as executive producers for the series.

After introducing Moments in 2024 — a mobile feature that allows members to save, relive, and share their favorite scenes — Netflix has rolled out an update for its members.
Launching alongside the release of “Wednesday” Season 2, Part 2, Netflix users can now set both a starting point and an endpoint, turning a single scene into a full clip to rewatch and share bit-sized clips.
While Netflix users are watching on mobile, they can tap the “Clip” button to capture a specific scene. An option to adjust where the scene ends will appear for users to determine the length of the clip they want captured. Once saved, the clip will be available under the ‘My Netflix’ tab to rewatch or share.

Starz has acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights to suburban drama “The Couple Next Door” Season 2, which premieres Sept. 19 on the streamer’s app and on-demand platforms.
Per Starz, the first season of “The Couple Next Door,” which starred Sam Heughan (“Outlander”) and Eleanor Tomlinson (“Poldark”), ranked as one of Starz’s best-performing acquisitions in its history.
Season 2 of “The Couple Next Door” promises to “pull back the curtain of the cul-de-sac and explore the consequences of turning your fantasies into reality,” according to the logline.
The new season debuts an all-new cast, including Annabel Scholey (“The Split,” “The Sixth Commandment”), Sam Palladio (“Nashville,” “The Princess Switch”), Aggy K. Adams (“The Witcher,” “Greek Salad”) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (“One Piece,” “Never Have I Ever”). Season One’s Hugh Dennis (“Outnumbered,” “Not Going Out”) also returns.
“The Couple Next Door” is written by David Allison (“Marcella,” “Bedlam”) and directed by Dries Vos (“Suspect,” “Professor T”), who also returns for season two. They both also serve as executive producers.

The Food Network will premiere Chapter 2 of “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” on Nov. 2 at 8:00pm EST, with the new episodes becoming available to stream on HBO Max and Discover+ the next day.
Hosted by Fred and George Weasley actors James and Oliver Phelps, “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” is a competitive cooking show with delectable treats inspired by the Wizarding World. Eight teams compete to create the best dish while culinary judges Carla Hall, Jozef Youssef and special guests tied to the franchise evaluate the tastes.
The new season will feature six episodes with guests Warwick Davis, Afshan Azad and Devon Murray, who played Professor Flitwick, Padma Patil and Seamus Finnigan, respectively, in the original “Harry Potter” films.

The Lyric Hyperion Theater has launched an independent production arm, Spesh!, which will focus on producing comedy specials direct to YouTube alongside short vertical content across socials.
Launching this fall, Emily Browning and Joey Greer (“Abbott Elementary”) will release their inaugural one-hour specials, “Temporary, Beautiful” and “Teeny Tiny.”
Per Spesh!, “Temporary, Beautiful” is an elevated deconstruction of crowdwork featuring songs, sex parties and balloons, and it will premiere on Sept. 4. “Teeny Tiny” is an unhinged fever dream perfect for fans of Tim & Eric and Adult Swim originals. It will debut on Sept. 12.

The Savannah College of Art and Design’s SCAD AnimationFest will return to the university’s SCADshow theater on Sept. 25-27 with a lineup of film and television projects, special guests, panels, and honorees from the world of animation.
This year’s festival will include panels and discussions with executives and creators from Amazon MGM Studios/Prime Video, Crunchyroll, Disney Branded Television, Disney Jr., Netflix and Warner Bros. Animation alongside current and former SCAD film students.
The festival will also honor “Phineas and Ferb” creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh as well as “KPop Demon Hunters” directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans with special awards for their contributions to the craft.

RENEWALS
MGM+ has announced the renewal of the third season of ‘Rogue Heroes,” starring Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West.
The third season of “Rogue Heroes” will continue the story of the Special Forces unit, with the semi-fictionalised series following the impact of war upon the men in France during Summer 1944. The series will follow Paddy Mayne and his Rogues as they have parachuted deep behind enemy lines, where they must team up to destroy and disrupt the German army as they continue to repel the Allied advances. As the unit begins to work with the French resistance and new recruits, they are faced again with new challenges as the liberation of Western Europe starts to take place.
New cast members will include Lorne MacFadyen, Nick Hargrove, Andrew Dawson and Jake Jarratt. Theo Barklem-Biggs, Corin Silva, Jacob Ifan, Jacob McCarthy, Stuart Campbell, Bobby Schofield and Jack Barton will reprise their roles for the third season.
“Rogue Heroes” is created by Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders”), and made by the BBC and Kudos. Stephen Woolfenden will return as director, alongside Stephen Smallwood as a producer. The series is executive produced by Karen Wilson, Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, and Martin Haines for Kudos, and Nick Lambdon for the BBC.
