As the NFL coaching carousel starts to spin, President Donald Trump has gone to bat for who he believes is the best coach on the market.
Late on Tuesday afternoon, the Baltimore Ravens parted ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh.
Harbaugh had been at the helm for 18 seasons in Baltimore – winning Super Bowl XLVII in the 2012 season.
However, the team hadn’t retuned to the NFL’s biggest stage since then. After missing the playoffs amidst a tumultuous 8-9 season, the Ravens fired Harbaugh.
On Wednesday morning, President Trump advocated for Harbaugh to be hired – likening his success to that of his brother, Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh.
The President posted to Truth Social, ‘HIRE JOHN HARBAUGH, FAS. HE, AND HIS BROTHER, ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!! President DJT’.

Harbaugh, who won Super Bowl XLVII, missed the playoffs this season amid a tough year
John’s name will likely be at the very top of the list this season and he’ll have his pick of any of the jobs currently open.
As of Wednesday morning, in addition to the Ravens, the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders are all open jobs.
It’s not immediately clear which teams Harbaugh will interview with.
In his 18 seasons with Baltimore, Harbaugh made the playoffs 12 times with a postseason record of 18-14.
However, Harbaugh went 1-3 in AFC title games – last reaching that stage in 2023.
