With 115 sleeps left until Christmas, what’s top of the Xmas wish list?

Christmas will be the last thing on most parents’ minds, with almost a third of the year still to go.

But Argos has already produced its rundown of 2025’s top toys well ahead of the festive season – with Bluey the cartoon puppy expected to top children’s lists this year.

The £80 Bluey toy house mega bundle – based on the popular Australian TV series about a blue heeler – will be the bestseller for pre-school children, the retailer has predicted.

Argos said toys that bring TV and film characters to life will dominate this year’s list.

A £65 doll house launched for the upcoming film of Gabby’s Dollhouse – based on a Netflix show about a girl who wears cat ears and is known for catchphrases such as ‘meow-mazing’ and ‘pawesome!’ – is expected to be a popular choice.

So, too, is a Wicked World small doll multipack (£24) made following the 2024 film adaptation of the musical.

Star Wars takes its regular place on the list with a £40 power crystal saber with interchangeable kyber crystals, as well as a £110 Lego Star Wars Ewok buildable figure.

And dinosaur enthusiasts can ask for the Jurassic World interactive hatching dino, a £65 robotic and interactive creature that hatches out of an egg.

Chantal Pearce, head of toy buying at Argos, said: ‘This year’s top toys reflect the dynamic landscape of play, bringing together world-famous brands and beloved movie characters and highlighting cutting-edge innovation.

‘It’s also so important for us to tap into the latest play patterns, supporting children’s development through interactive fun and encouraging them to unleash their creativity, too.’
