A woman ‘suddenly’ died on a Qantas flight from the United States to New Zealand overnight.
Police in Auckland were called to attend the ‘sudden death’ of a woman after the flight landed.
Inquiries into the woman’s death are underway on behalf of the coroner.
Qantas confirmed to local outlet Stuff that a passenger passed during the over 17-hour flight.
‘Urgent assistance was provided by crew and doctors onboard but sadly they passed away,’ a spokesperson said.
‘In line with standard procedure, emergency services met the aircraft as part of the response.’
Daily Mail has contacted Qantas for further comment.
