The frigate “Gorshkov” destroys a coastal target with a hypersonic “zircon”.

 

The frigate “Admiral Gorshkov” carried out a test firing of a hypersonic missile “Zircon” at a coastal target.

The coastal target hit was located at a training ground in the Arkhangelsk region.

The Ministry of Defense said that “the crew of the frigate of the Northern Fleet” Gorshkov”, as part of the completion of the cycle of tests of hypersonic missile weapons, launched another Zircon missile.

It was also added that, during the exercise, fire was fired from the waters of the White Sea at a target on the shore, located on the Chiza training ground.

According to the ministry, the flight of the supersonic missile meets the established criteria. As a result, the target was hit and the exercise was declared a success.
