OSCE on Press Freedom Day: We need strong, independent and pluralistic media
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe extended its sincere congratulations to journalists in all countries of the world on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, stressing the urgent need for strong, independent, pluralistic and reliable media, more evident than ever.
A statement by the European Organization said on Friday that on World Press Freedom Day; The Maltese presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe emphasizes the pivotal role of the independent press in addressing global challenges and crises.
The statement stated that free media constitute the cornerstone of democracy and an essential part of the comprehensive approach adopted by the Organization for Security and Cooperation.
