Subcutaneous implantation of chips carrying COVID passports begins in Sweden

The Swedish company has developed microchips implanted under the skin with vaccination certificates.

The developer assures that the technology is safe for people. Implants can be removed if necessary. In addition to vaccination certificates, they can store contracts, travel cards, gym memberships, and other necessary documents.

According to reports, 6 thousand Swedish residents have already installed these chips.

The implant consists of an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip that contains data that can be read with any reader, such as an NFC-compatible smartphone.
