WhatsApp will update its interface

In the popular WhatsApp messenger app, a pattern will appear to notify users of encrypted messages and calls.

WhatsApp developers will be adding a new visual extension that the team believes should remind users that their product is a safe place to communicate. In the near future, signatures “Your calls are protected by end-to-end encryption” and “Your status is protected by end-to-end encryption” will appear in the Status and Calls tab on Android and iOS. Later, a similar signature will be displayed in the Chats section.

The user’s chats and calls on WhatsApp are encrypted and therefore not always accessible to third parties. According to the service’s management, not even the WhatsApp development team and parent company Meta have access to them.
