Mount Tarampa crash: Eight people injured after two-car collision in Queensland

A toddler and teenager are among nine passengers injured in a horrific two-car collision. 

The crash occured at the intersection of Coominya Connection Road and Mount Tarampa Road, near Mount Tarampa, 80km west of Brisbane, just before 9am on Tuesday. 

Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the passengers and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, were also called to the scene.

One vehicle rolled several metres before coming to a stop.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service, told Daily Mail Australia all occupants in both the vehicles sustained minor injuries. 

‘Eight people were taken to Ipswich Hospital while one person was taken to St Vincents Hospital,’ the spokeswoman said. 

The spokeswoman confirmed that the eight people who were travelling in one of the vehicles are a family. 

A teenager and a toddler are understood to be among those who were injured and the pair were also taken to Ipswich Hospital, for treatment and observation according to the Courier Mail.

Daily Mail has contacted Queensland Police and QFES for comment. 

Motorists have been told to expect delays in the area due to the incident.
