Portugal receives the President Sisi Award "Peace Champion 2024 "From the Parliament of the Mediterranean Countries
Ambassador Wael El-Naggar, Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal, received President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s “Hero of Peace 2024” award. From the General Assembly of the Parliament of the Mediterranean Countries, in the presence of 43 countries. During his speech, which was broadcast by “Sada El Balad” channel, Ambassador Al-Najjar welcomed Satellite channel, on Wednesday evening, in attendance, sending a message of appreciation and gratitude in which he expressed, on behalf of President Sisi, his pride in this honor.
He pointed out that this honor is the best evidence of the dedication of the Egyptian state in all its official and civil sectors, under the leadership of President Sisi in supporting regional and international stability, which reflects our firm belief that solidarity and joint cooperation can face and overcome all challenges.
The Egyptian ambassador to Portugal stressed that Egypt has been and will remain a country that supports peace and supports all regional and international efforts. To implement it in various conflict areas, explaining that the Egyptian state, since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, has been working to establish an immediate ceasefire and facilitate the implementation of humanitarian and relief aid to the residents of the Strip by all means and means. Ambassador Al-Najjar added that the Egyptian state and its leadership, represented by President Sisi, received many regional and international partners with the aim of working to prevent the expansion of the circle of conflict, to preserve stability, support peace, and stop the bloodshed of the Palestinian people. He stressed that the Egyptian state is looking, at this critical stage, for all regional and international efforts to join forces to work to end the unprecedented humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people, and to prevent any attempt to displace them from their lands, stressing that this will only be achieved through an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Ensuring the access of all forms of relief and humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip and working hard and diligently to establish the Palestinian state. Concluding his speech, the Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal renewed his gratitude to the General Assembly of the Mediterranean for this honor and its diligent follow-up of the Egyptian efforts and the efforts of President Sisi to establish peace, and affirmed Egypt’s aspiration under the leadership of President Sisi for more cooperation and fruitful partnership in the future in order to promote the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence.
