The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said that the COVID-19 pandemic is not the last for humanity. It is already necessary to prepare for the next pandemic.
The Secretary-General wrote about it on his official Twitter account.

“Covid-19 will not be the last pandemic that humanity will face,” he said.

At the same time, Guterres called for punitive and ineffective travel bans for residents of certain countries and regions in the context of the recently identified Omicron COVID-19 strain.
