Fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine launched in Israel

Israel’s Sheba Medical Center, near Tel Aviv, has begun vaccinating volunteers with a fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine, the first study of its kind in the world.

It is noteworthy that the study included 150 medical workers who received a booster vaccine in August. All patients were vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech

Before the procedure, the doctors passed the necessary tests, they had a low level of antibodies.

The Israeli authorities hope that the fourth dose of the vaccine will help in dealing with the new strain of the Omicron coronavirus.

In Israel, more than 4.2 million of the 9.3 million residents received their third dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. Israel leads the world in the number of vaccinated citizens.

It became known, that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, entered into self-isolation after his daughter tested positive for the Corona virus.
