"Sharjah businesswomen" Launches a series of forums to support entrepreneurship

Sharjah, May 10 / WAM / The Sharjah Businesswomen Council, in cooperation with the American University of Sharjah, yesterday launched a series of dialogue forums spanning two years, with the aim of strengthening the entrepreneurship sector in the country, especially for women.

These events focus on educational aspects, to empower women entrepreneurs, enhance knowledge exchange, and find innovative solutions based on the recommendations of a diverse group of stakeholders and stakeholders in this field, which contributes to bringing about the desired positive change within the business system.

Maryam Bin Al Sheikh, Director of the Sharjah Businesswomen Council, stressed the importance of the educational capabilities of this initiative, as the series of forums constitute a new step towards supporting and developing female entrepreneurs in the institutional sector in the country.

She said, “We aim to identify challenges and apply practical solutions capable of overcoming them, which contributes to empowering entrepreneurs, especially female entrepreneurs, to exchange visions and ideas and enhance cooperation between stakeholders and concerned parties.”

The first dialogue forum was organized yesterday, entitled “The Women’s Entrepreneurship System in the United Arab Emirates,” which focuses on studying the current business scene for female entrepreneurs in Sharjah and the UAE.
