Malaysian authorities are preparing to announce the end of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Star newspaper, on its YouTube channel, published a recording of an appeal to doctors by Malaysian Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin. According to the newspaper, the ministry “will issue a declaration of intent to end the phase of the COVID-19 pandemic this year.”

According to the latest data from the Malaysian Ministry of Health, 2,342 new cases of COVID-19 virus have been recorded in the country daily. During the epidemic, more than 2.8 million cases of coronavirus were recorded in the country, and more than 31.7 thousand people died.
