Man arrested for trying to rape a 12-year-old girl

Police arrested a 20-year-old man who attempted to rape a 12-year-old girl in Kolpino.

The schoolgirl met the guy on the Internet and in the evening of January 16 she went to the shopping center on Proletarskaya Street to meet him. The man tried to drag the girl into the office, but was frightened by a store employee, who reported what he saw to the police. The suspect was arrested 10 minutes later in a fast food chain’s cafe.

It turned out that the man had previously been tried for extortion. The girl was admitted to the hospital with bruises on her forearms. The issue of establishing a criminal case is currently being decided upon.
