WhatsApp adds two long-awaited features

The iOS version of WhatsApp messenger has added two long-awaited features related to the notification system. According to 9to5Mac, the changes appeared in the final assembly available to all users.

It should be noted that in version 22.2.75, messaging notifications now support focus mode with iOS 15. For example, iPhone owners in Do Not Disturb mode will receive notifications only from WhatsApp users who have been added to the allowed list.

Now, when a notification is received from WhatsApp, the display of the user’s profile picture is enabled. Similar functionality already exists in the Telegram messenger. This is one of the innovations in iOS 15.

In version 22.2.75, the ability to pause and resume recording of voice messages was added. This feature has been tested since October 2021 in beta mode, and is now available to all users of the messenger.
