Armed clashes erupt between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan – The number of military wounded in Kyrgyzstan as a result of the clash on the border with Tajikistan has risen to 11.

The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan issued a statement saying, “The number of wounded soldiers in Kyrgyzstan has reached 11. All of them were taken to hospital in a condition of moderate severity.”

Skirmishes between the military of the two sides began on one of the sections of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on Thursday, January 27.

In Bishkek, they claimed that the Tajiks closed part of the road between the Kyrgyz cities of Batkin and Isvana (Batkin region). And they say in Dushanbe that the Kyrgyz army opened fire.

Starting at 19:35 local time, the armed people gathered at the site started shooting at each other.
