Aftershock of magnitude 2.6 New Jersey earthquake reported in Gladstone, New Jersey, USGS says

GLADSTONE, New Jersey (WABC) — The United States Geological Survey reported a Magnitude 2.6 replica in Gladstone, New Jersey, on Wednesday morning.

According to the USGS, the aftershock was reported around 7:01 a.m.

The most recent aftershock before this was last Saturday, also in Gladstone, with a magnitude of 2.8.

Similarly, a magnitude 2.6 earthquake was reported in Gladstone on the morning of April 10.

Wednesday’s aftershock comes just weeks after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake surprised millions of people in the New York City area in early April.

The epicenter occurred near Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, about 45 miles west of New York City.
