The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the Jordanian Prime Minister was keen, at the beginning of the interview, to convey the greetings and appreciation of King Abdullah II of Jordan to the President, which the President appreciated, stressing pride in the special and historical relationship that brings together the peoples and leaderships of the two countries, and noting the importance he attaches to Egypt for bilateral cooperation relations, with the aim of achieving common interests and achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples to achieve comprehensive development, especially in light of the ongoing convening in Cairo of the thirty-second session of the joint Egyptian-Jordanian higher committee, headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.

The official spokesman added that the meeting also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, which is going through a very delicate phase, in light of the strenuous efforts to reach a comprehensive truce in the Strip and an exchange of prisoners and detainees, in a way that ensures the immediate and complete implementation of humanitarian aid in a sustainable and unhindered manner, to reduce the human tragedy. which the people of the Gaza Strip are suffering from. In this regard, a complete rejection and warning of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the Israeli military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah was affirmed, which deprives the people of Gaza of the main lifeline of the Gaza Strip, and disrupts the safe outlet for the wounded and sick to exit to receive treatment, and for the entry of humanitarian and relief aid. .

In this regard, it was confirmed that the current situation requires the international community to assume its responsibilities to reach an immediate and sustainable ceasefire, while moving forward seriously and effectively in enforcing recognition of the independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a way that achieves justice, security, and regional stability. And it opens up development horizons for all the peoples of the region.
