The Minister of State for Military Production discusses with the Chairman of the Armenian Military Industry Committee aspects of joint cooperation
Engineer Muhammad Salah al-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, discussed with Artyom Mehrabyan, Chairman of the Military Industry Committee of the Ministry of High-Technology Industry of the Republic of Armenia, support for aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Armenia in Cairo.

Minister Mohamed Salah El-Din stressed that Egyptian-Armenian relations have a historical and cultural heritage and strong popular relations. He pointed out that these relations have witnessed remarkable development with the support of the political leadership of the two countries, which was clearly evident during the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the State of Armenia in January 2023, as well as the participation of Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Republic of Armenia, in the COP27 World Climate Summit, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022. During the meeting, the Minister of State for Military Production reviewed the Ministry’s capabilities in the field of Egyptian military industrialization, stressing the Ministry’s primary role, which is to Meeting the needs and demands of the armed forces and police in terms of weapons, equipment and ammunition, exploiting surplus production capacities in manufacturing civilian products and participating in the implementation of national projects and development projects taking place in the state.
Mohamed Salah explained that the work strategy of the Ministry of Military Production depends on openness and cooperation. With all international companies working in similar fields, with the aim of identifying the latest military manufacturing technologies and working to localize them within companies and units affiliated with military production, expressing his welcome to cooperation with any of the Armenian companies working in similar fields.
For his part, Artyom Mehrabyan, Chairman of the Military Industries Committee of the Ministry of High-Technology Industry of the Republic of Armenia, expressed his happiness at holding this meeting, expressing the interest of the Armenian side in cooperating with the Egyptian side, led by military production companies, in various fields of manufacturing and exchanging experiences to serve the development goals of the two countries, especially in light of friendly relations. (Armenian – (Egyptian), which is strong and historically extended, praising the remarkable development that Egypt is witnessing in various fields, especially the field of digital transformation, the use of modern manufacturing technologies, and the application of the principles of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Hrachiya Poladian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Egypt, also indicated that the relations " Egyptian – Armenian " Well-established and extended, explaining that his country pays great attention to the Arab Republic of Egypt, as Egypt has a great position in the region and plays a major role in the security structure of all of Africa and the Middle East. Poladian confirmed: President Sisi’s visit to Armenia gave a new impetus to our economic relations, as this visit was very important due to the immediate and promising results it has achieved so far. Pointing out that Egyptian and Armenian companies have expressed, since then, their mutual interest and willingness to explore business and investment opportunities in The two friendly countries. In turn, the media advisor to the Minister of State for Military Production and the official spokesman for the ministry, Muhammad Eid Bakr, explained that this meeting comes to strengthen the strong relations between the two sides. Pointing out that it was agreed at the end of the meeting to exchange visits by specialists and technical delegations between the two sides to identify the technological and manufacturing capabilities of the two parties. On the ground, precisely defining the proposed cooperation topics and developing mechanisms to ensure fruitful joint cooperation.
