Lithuania: Israel did not block arms supplies to Ukraine

The Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, Victoria Kmelet Nielsen, said that Israel did not prevent the supply of arms to Ukraine from the territory of the Baltic states.

Camelet Nielsen said: “In meetings with Israeli politicians – the speaker and members of the Knesset and the chair of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee – I asked about the information that came out and got assurances that this information was incorrect, and that Israel had no demands from the Baltic states regarding the weapons being passed on. “.

But she did not ask about the possibility of transferring Israeli weapons to Ukraine if necessary and without obstacles.

The Speaker of Parliament clarified her position: “It is clear that Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia can act freely and take decisions in accordance with their understanding of the threat that now arises in Ukraine.”
