An emergency meeting of the G7

It was agreed to hold an emergency meeting of the heads of diplomatic departments of the countries – members of the G7 against the background of the situation in Ukraine for the current February.

According to preliminary data, the meeting can be organized in Germany. The main topic that the participants will discuss will be Ukraine and what is going on around it.

Japan will be represented by Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi. There is no official confirmation of plans for a future meeting yet.

The meeting will likely be scheduled to coincide with the Munich Security Conference. To be held on February 18-20.

The Group of Seven (G7) is an unofficial international club comprising the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the United States.
