George Martin Launches New Marvel Book Series

Marvel will release a new book series based on the anthology of American writer George R. Martin’s “Wild Cards”.

Martin will work with writer Paul Cornell and artist Michael Hawthorne on the Wild Card comics.

“For the honor of announcing that an industry giant like Marvel will create a storybook from scratch in comic book form, brings me endless joy,” Martin said.
“Maybe my fans will realize that Wild Cards World holds a special place in my heart.

The Wild Cards collection, launched in 1987, consists of more than 50 works. The series depicts an alternate history after World War II, when Earth became home to superhumans who defeated a mysterious virus.

Previously, George Martin explained that he watched the first “raw episode” of the Game of Thrones prequel called House of the Dragon. The writer praised the exhibitors and the crew in the series.

According to him, as in “Game of Thrones”, there will not be many famous actors, but the viewer will definitely like them.

The first issue of the new series will be released on June 1.
