China imposes sanctions on the US

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin announced, in a media briefing he gave to NSN. The Chinese government will impose sanctions on the United States after Washington sold arms to Taiwan

“In order to protect the sovereignty and security interests of the People’s Republic of China, and in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Sanctions Control Law, the Chinese government has decided to introduce countermeasures in response to the actions taken by Lockheed Martin,” the diplomat said.

We are talking about the American companies Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Technologies, which have been involved in the supply of weapons to Taiwan for a long time.

According to him, the arms sale to Taiwan flagrantly violates the “one China” principle, causing serious damage to the sovereignty and security interests of the People’s Republic of China. Therefore, China firmly opposes the supply of arms and condemns these actions.

At the same time, the Chinese diplomat did not explain what exactly the sanctions are and when they will start working.
