US Sanctions Russia Over Recognition Of DNR And LNR

The White House said that Washington will soon announce additional measures related to Russia’s recognition of the DNR and LNR republics.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said: “We have expected such a move from Russia and are ready to respond immediately. President Biden will soon issue an executive order prohibiting new investment, trade, and financing by American persons in connection with the so-called Ukrainian areas of the DNR and LNR.” “.

Reports indicate that the new sanctions are not related to a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine.
