Assad supporters Russia’s recognition of Luhansk and Donetsk
Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the “Combat Brotherhood” Dmitry Sablin, expressed confidence that Syria is ready to recognize the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.
“I am sure that after Russia, the two republics will be recognized by allies and friends,” said the coordinator of the State Duma group for relations with the parliament of the Syrian Arab Republic.
He also said that he had talked about it with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and said that Syria would also be ready to recognize them, because it had recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
