The Minister of Education witnesses the event "The Arabic language is a source of inspiration and creativity

 

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, witnessed this evening the event “The Arabic Language is a Source of Inspiration and Creativity.” Organized by the Ministry of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad in cooperation with UNESCO within the framework of the second phase of the presidential initiative “I Speak Arabic”.

 

This came in the presence of Dr. Noria Sanz, Regional Director. For the UNESCO office in Cairo, Dr.  Moamen Othman, Head of the Museums Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Bahi El-Din, Head of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Professor Areej Atallah, Program Specialist in the Humanities and Social Sciences Sector at the UNESCO Office in Cairo, Professor Amina Hamshari, Regional Advisor for the Humanities and Social Sciences Sector at the UNESCO Office in Doha, and Israa Saleh. The founder and executive director of the (Super Abla) initiative, Dr. Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat Al-Katibah, the ambassador for children’s affairs in the presidential initiative, Hayat Karima, and a number of ambassadors, in addition to a number of members of the House of Representatives, members of the youth coordination of parties and politicians, and a number of members of the Senate.

 

Dr. Reda Hegazy praised the event, its organization and its objectives, which enhance the role of the Arabic language as a source of inspiration and creativity and the role of our writers and writers in shaping our literary conscience and preserving our Arabic language so that it continues to flourish for generations to come, and the diversity of the use of methods and techniques. What is new in teaching our children the Arabic language to keep pace with modern technological developments, stressing the role of the Egyptian state in preserving the Arabic language as one of the components of national and cultural identity.

The Minister also stressed the role of UNESCO in enhancing the role of the Arabic language in linking cultures and promoting cultural diversity, valuing the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the organization.    The event included a discussion session on the slogan “The Arabic language is a source of inspiration and creativity.” Which reviewed the link between heritage, language, and the promotion of Egyptian identity.

The event comes within the framework of the second phase of the presidential initiative “I Speak Arabic”  Which is considered one of the national initiatives targeting the language skills of Egyptians abroad through listening, speaking, reading and writing, and also preparing an educational guide for parents, introducing national events, preserving identity and introducing our children abroad to Egyptian heritage, customs, traditions and values.
